Living Together
One of the requirements of a confidential marriage license is that a couple must say that they have been cohabitating or living together as a married couple before they are issued the marriage licence in Los Angeles County, California.
Los Angeles County Recorder has not established how long a couple must be living together in order for the California confidential marriage license to be issue. The notary must accept what a couple says and has no way of verifying whether this is true or not.
